Alpha-Spectrometer for universal Radon/Thoron measurements (Type  RTM2100)

The RTM2100 produced by Sarad Company Germany is an universal Radon/Thoron monitor for portable and stationary applications with a large number of additional functions. The high sensitivity combined with the alpha spectroscopic analysis results in a response time as short as physical possible even at low Radon concentrations. The Thoron concentration will be determined simultaneously. Soil gas sampling as well as Radon in water measurements are simple to carry out because of the built in pump. Internal sensors are measuring simultaneously temperature, humidity, bar. pressure and flow rate. A switch output signalises Radon concentration values higher than the pre-set, user-adjustable alert limit. The menu structure of the instrument allows to set up all operation parameters on site without the usage of a PC or notebook. The display shows the recent Radon and sensor readings as well as the sum spectrum of the running measurement series.

The measurement chamber is not sensitive against humidity variations – a drying tube, commonly used in such instrument types, is not required. The small internal volume (90 ml) makes the RTM2100 especially suitable for the measurement of samples with small and limited volume. The RTM2100 can be powered either by a mains power adapter or by the internal rechargeable battery which gives an autonomous operation time of about 2 days.

The instrument can be directly connected to a modem (analogue, ISDN, GSM) for remote control and data transmission. The Radon Sampler software (included in delivery) handles the telephone connection as simple as a direct cable link.
